Job Description
We are seeking a Client Relations Associate with 3-5 years of experience who will assist our client relations team with various aspects of client servicing for our fund administration clients including:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Develop strong understanding of client’s business needs and goals
- Serve as a trusted liaison on client accounts, becoming an important part of the client’s business
- Serve as a primary contact for the portfolio (hedge funds, private equity, Alternative products) of clients and their investors
- Answer phone calls and reply to emails from clients and investors, providing quick and accurate information
- Serve as Implementation Lead, using project management skills to deliver outstanding customer service
- Work collaboratively with internal team of fund accountants and managers
- Manage account lifecycle through client engagement, client relationship management, and business development support
- Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet client deadlines
- Stay updated on current regulations and company policies, and proactively update staff, clients, and investors
- Communicate with clients to obtain and update bank wire instructions and authorized signor lists
- Research key topics, officials, and persons of interest as needed
- Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
We will equip you with the skills set necessary for this position during the initial training period. However, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities:
- General understanding of financial services, asset management industry, hedge funds and private equity (preferred)
- Demonstrated high levels of interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to complete tasks within defined project constraints
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while paying strict attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with client inquiry systems (e.g., Freshdesk) is a plus
- Familiarity with banking system platforms (e.g., JP Morgan, Wells Fargo) is a plus
- Desire to learn and willingness to “roll up the sleeves” to get the job done
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in responding to inquiries and information requests
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects against critical deadlines
- Strong working knowledge in researching technical topics
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (preferred)
- An undergraduate degree is required
