About the Opportunity

Piedmont Fund Services, a premier leader in the alternative fund administration industry, is seeking a dynamic, forward thinking Senior Manager/Team Leader – Investor Relations to lead our Investor Relations and AML/KYC teams and shape the future of these functions.

As a team leader, we expect you to work closely with the senior management to execute the firm’s mission. Successful candidate is expected to have the following attributes:

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and manage the Investor Relations team; oversee investor onboarding and AML/KYC procedures
  • Build a culture of empowerment, accountability, and professional growth
  • Coach and develop staff while delegating responsibilities effectively
  • Reorganize roles, adjust responsibilities, and address underperformance when needed
  • Develop succession plans and prepare the team for continued volume growth
  • Present regular updates to senior leadership on performance, risk, and operational improvements
  • Maintain regular communication with senior management
  • Conduct AML/KYC training for new and existing personnel; provide updates on regulatory changes via live sessions or email communications

Investor Relations Oversight

  • Oversee all investor onboarding, subscriptions, redemptions, capital activity, and reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of investor transactions across retail and institutional clients
  • Manage interactions with third-party platforms such as DTCC, Fidelity, and +Subscribe
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex investor issues and sensitive client situations
  • Participate in client calls during the U.S. time zone when escalations require IR team involvement

AML/KYC Compliance

  • Serve as the firm’s internal AML/KYC expert and final decision-maker on escalations
  • Lead AML/KYC audits and ensure strong, defensible controls
  • Update AML/KYC policies in partnership with third-party consultants
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Oversee communication with clients and investors regarding AML/KYC documentation and status

Operational Excellence & Workflow Design

  • Redesign and strengthen workflows to support scalability and efficiency
  • Build out a 24-hour service model to support clients across different time zones
  • Implement and optimize internal technology to streamline processes
  • Own the full investor data lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, governance, and integrity of static data in the online investor portal
  • Oversee investor portal administration, including user access governance and staff training

KPIs, Dashboards & Performance Management

  • Develop KPIs focused on risk mitigation, team capacity, and client experience.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and monitor performance to ensure timely responses and zero missed inquiries.
  • Use data insights to anticipate needs, allocate resources, and drive continuous improvement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

As a team leader, we expect you to work closely with the senior management to execute the firm’s mission. Successful candidate is expected to have the following attributes:
  • Bachelor’s/College Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related course (professional certifications such as CAMS are an advantage)
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services with specialization in KYC, AML and investor onboarding
  • Client-facing experience and excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of hedge funds and private equity investor subscription processing.
  • Strong knowledge of AML software and databases (e.g., LexisNexis)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Leadership experience as a team lead or senior manager with proven ability to lead and manage teams, delegate tasks, and ensure delivery of results is highly desired
  • Willingness to manage the team across Philippines and US time zone and attend occasional virtual meetings in U.S. time zone (mostly morning Eastern Time) on short notice
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with great attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Hybrid work schedule (in-office and remote); subject to future modification by the company
