GAIM Ops Cayman remains one of the alternative investment industry’s premier forums for operations, technology, compliance, and risk-management professionals. Held April 19–22, 2026, at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, the conference brought together leaders from across the global alternatives ecosystem to exchange ideas, discuss emerging challenges, and explore the evolving future of investment operations.
As a proud sponsor, Piedmont was honored to participate in the conversations, collaboration, and industry engagement that made this year’s event so impactful.
Representing Piedmont were Ian Asvakovith, President & CEO; Keith Hladek, President of Piedmont Credit Services; Tony DiPietro, Managing Director of Client Relations; and Howard Bloom, Managing Director of Business Development. Throughout the event, the team engaged with clients, partners, and industry peers on the opportunities and challenges shaping the alternative investment landscape.
From the continued expansion of private credit and specialized fund structures to the increasing adoption of artificial intelligence, firms are balancing new opportunities with higher expectations around efficiency, transparency, governance, and risk management. As a result, technology, scalable processes, and strong operational infrastructure remain critical priorities across the industry.

A highlight for Piedmont was the opportunity of our very own, Keith Hladek, to participate as a panelist in the Beyond Yield: Operational Risks, Complexity, and Controls in Private Credit session. As private credit continues to expand and mature, the discussion explored the operational foundations necessary to support sustainable growth. Keith’s participation provided an opportunity to share Piedmont’s perspective on the governance, controls, and operational infrastructure needed to meet the evolving market demands.
As GAIM Ops Cayman celebrated its 20th anniversary, the event highlighted the importance of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the alternative investment industry. Piedmont was honored to participate as both a sponsor and contributor and appreciated the opportunity to engage with clients, partners, and industry peers throughout the conference.
Looking ahead, Piedmont is excited to return to GAIM Ops Cayman in 2027 as a sponsor once again. We look forward to reconnecting with clients, partners, and industry peers and continuing the conversations that help shape the future of alternative investment operations.
